- 1 tub of Vegie Gourmet Carrot Spread
- 3 cups self raising flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons of butter at room temperature
- 1 egg lightly whisked
- ¼ cup milk
- ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
- ¼ cup chopped fresh sage
methods
- Preheat oven to 190°C. Lightly grease or spray baking tray with oil.
- Mix the flour, salt and the butter until mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.
- Add milk, egg, Carrot Spread, parmesan (reserve 1tbs) and stir well until mixture forms dough, adding cold water if necessary.
- Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface. Knead until smooth then shape into 20cm round circle.
- Place on the greased tray and use a sharp knife dipped in flour to mark 8 wedges.
- Sprinkle with reserved parmesan and bake for 35 minutes or until golden brown.
